GRADE 3

Bendigo Camp

At camp we had to walk a lot. At night we watched a movie and ate popcorn. I also liked the lab activity where we mixed vinegar, oil and food colouring. There was a chemical reaction that made lots of bubbles. There was also a frozen shadow room where we posed and our shadows froze. It was my first camp and a great camp!!
Cidra Chkhaydem

I liked the planetarium show because we saw the Solar System. My favourite part was the ‘Vertical Slide’. I was scared at first but then enjoyed it. I went on it 15 times.
Mariam Almosawy

At the Discovery Centre we did a lot of activities like frozen shadow, echolocation, pulling a rope to lift someone on a chair. My favourite was the ‘Vertical Slide’. I was scared at first but then I enjoyed it. We also visited the ‘Deborah Gold Mines’. It was very cold dark in the mines and we wore helmets with lights on them. Bill showed us how in the olden days miners went underground and the kind of tools they used for mining. After that we went on the Talking Tram which took us around Bendigo.
Milla Barker

Camp was fun. We did lots of activities and enjoyed sleepover with my friends.
Farida

The best thing about the camp was that we had a sleepover at the Discovery Centre. I had fun doing the activities. We also walked to a park and saw lots of bats hanging upside down on the trees. When we visited the mines it was really cold underground. I liked the camp experience.
